What is the Game Guide upgrade?

For an additional $100 per room, the Game Guide Upgrade includes an in-room guide and eliminates the need for an adult from your party in the escape room. This means you can have 10 children in each escape room instead of 9 children plus a required adult. The Game Guide will also be assisting for your hour in the party room (handing out pizza, cutting cake, etc.).

When do I need a Game Guide upgrade?

If you would like your players to participate without an adult, you may need the Game Guide Upgrade! For a Spell Caster and/or Gateway party, players 12 and under must have an adult in the room or Game Guide Upgrade. For an Endurance and/or Aurora party, players 13 and under must have an adult or Game Guide Upgrade!

We would like to schedule a kid’s birthday party. Do we need parents there?

A parent must fill out a waiver.

How many people can a party hold?

Our four rooms each hold 10 people. The ideal party size is 40 or fewer people.

Can I rent the entire space?

Yes, please contact us for more info.

What can I bring to a party?

Decorations, food, no confetti, and no glitter. If you would like to serve adult beverages, please contact us in advance of the party.

Is the decoration included? If so, can we select any theme/colors and bring some decoration?

Tables and chairs will be set up in the party room to seat up to 20. Locktopia Escape Room Houston provides a basic white tablecloth on each table. You are welcome to bring decorative cloths to place on top, and you will need four standard rectangular table covers.

We do not allow any taping or pinning to our walls, but we have a large magnetic dry-erase board along one wall. You can tape banners or posters to that board, or use magnets! We encourage standing decorations, such as centerpieces or balloons!

We do not allow glitter, confetti, slime, or similar materials. This includes confetti and glitter-filled balloons

How much time is “allocated” for setup before the party (How much in advance can we come in to set up)?

For our base rate, your access to the party room is limited to the 2 hours of your event. Assuming no other events book close to your start time, you may come up to 15 minutes early for no charge. If you need more time, we charge $25 per additional half-hour.

Are there any restrictions on the food items we can bring for our guests?

If you choose to self-cater, you are free to bring any food you would like. Please note that we charge a $50 cleaning fee if cleanup takes longer than 20 minutes for 2 employees. For this reason, you may want to avoid messy/sticky foods that may stain or require additional cleaning.

Is there a refrigerator to accommodate items that need to stay cold?

We have a mini fridge filled with water bottles for your group and an empty mini fridge for any drinks (or other refrigerated items) you bring!
